Brook Alder FCCA

Owner Director

Brook founded ADA in 2014 and today runs the business with a team of qualified Accountants.

Brook qualified in 1985 and has spent his entire career as an accountant in practice working across a wide range of business sectors including architects, dentists, farmers, racing, construction, engineering and commercial property.

Brook works with a wide variety of businesses from owner managed companies to larger businesses’ requiring audits and sole trader accounts. He also works with trusts, pension schemes and partnerships among others.

Brook lives in Clanfield with his wife and two sons and enjoys cycling, running, horse racing and travel.

Terry Demain FCA

Accountant

Terry joined ADA in 2014 having qualified in 2000 and spent many years working in Oxford for an accountancy practice having started there in 1996. Terry has a wide, general mix of clients.

Terry lives in Grove with his partner and two sons. Terry’s interests include football, motorsport, cycling and music.

Anthony Akers FCCA

Accountant

Anthony started his career in the industry in 1999 and joined ADA in 2014.

Anthony has a diverse portfolio of clients but in particular has expertise in the construction, the bloodstock industry and owner managed businesses.

Anthony lives in Chipping Norton, he has two young daughters and enjoys playing golf and football.

Hannah Watson FCCA

Accountant

Hannah joined ADA in 2014 having started her career in 2007. Hannah qualified in AAT in 2009 and became ACCA Qualified in August 2012.

Hannah has a wide portfolio of clients from professional services, construction and the retail industries.

Hannah lives in a village on the outskirts of Abingdon with her husband and two boys. She enjoys family time, shopping, seeing the world and good food.

Karen Hubbard

Accounts Manager

Karen has worked in practice for over 30 years and joined ADA in 2014. Karen has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in business and finance which she obtained in 1989.

Karen deals with various business types in the farming, construction, retail and veterinary industries.

Karen lives in Eynsham with her son and her main interests are family related, theatre, films and concerts.

Zoe Clark ACCA

Accountant

Zoe joined ADA in 2016 and started her accountancy training in 2017 and qualified in early January 2021. Zoe previously worked as a Vet in Oxfordshire however decided on a new career path in 2015.

Zoe works closely with Brook and Terry helping them to manage their portfolio of clients.

Zoe lives in Wantage with her husband and enjoys gardening and crafts.

Daisy ffrench Davis AATQB

Accounts Trainee

Daisy joined ADA in 2022 having started her accountancy career in 2018. She became an AAT Qualified Bookkeeper in 2022 and is continuing her studies here with ADA.

Daisy works closely with Anthony, assisting him with his huge variety of clients.

Daisy lives in Lambourn, spending most weekends at the races with her father. When she has a free weekend, she enjoys cooking for friends and family.

Sue Baggarley

Administrator

Sue joined ADA in 2022 to provide administrative support to the team. Sue previously worked in Sales and Export Administration.

Sue lives in Wantage and enjoys spending time away in her motorhome, on walking holidays with her partner and dog.

Helen Froud

Helen Joined the ADA team in 2022, having previously worked alongside some of the team during her time at another firm.

Helen specialises in personal tax and has thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of broadening her knowledge of accountancy whilst here.

She works well alongside her colleagues, assisting with more complex personal matters and is a valuable member of the team.

Helen lives in Wantage with her husband and two young boys. In her spare time, she can be found pitch side supporting her boys.
